Melissa's
Encounter:
I met Coltin twice. Both on the same weekend.
First, he was at this luncheon at the Cadillac Ranch Restaurant in New Paltz, NY
on April 6, 2000. He was really nice and friendly to everyone. First, there was
a Q&A, (Mike Rodrick, AW) was also there. They answered everyone's
questions. Then lunch was served. Coltin and Mike both sat amongst the
fans and we got to talk to them. It was great. Then we just, in general, hung
out and took some pictures and got some autographs. After that there was a
raffle, mostly just of Mike's stuff, but there was some GH stuff. (I actually
won the grand prize, which was a big framed picture of Mike.) After that it was
almost time to leave. We got to talk a little more with both of them, and then
it was over. They said good-bye to everyone and we all left.
Then the next day, Coltin and Josh Duhamel (Leo, AMC) were at the Poughkeepsie
Galleria, which just happens to be right down the street from me. So, I went up
there with my friend and we saw him again. He had remembered us from the
luncheon. So, we got more pics of us with him. Then he posed with the Easter
bunny and we got some of them. Later on, he said that he was going to sing, so
we all waited eagerly. He was sooo great! I couldn't believe it. I got tons of
pics of that too. =) Then, it was over. He said goodbye to everyone and we went
up to him and personally said goodbye, and then he left. The whole weekend was
soo great. I actually can't believe I met him. He is such a nice, down-to-earth
person. He's very easy to get along with.
Last summer I had a broken ankle, it took 3 months to heal and I was pretty down. One day in August at about 12:15 am my phone rang long distance. My sister came running into my room blabbing something about the hospital. I was terrified but I picked up the phone and a deep voice said Hi. We talked for a minute in the usual way, then he said "Do you know who this is?" I had to admit that I was clueless but he said it's Coltin Scott, "I play Nicholas Cassadine on General Hospital." Well I was like "okay which of my friends put you up to this?" He proved it was him by telling me about the storyline and what was coming up. We talked for almost and hour and then again the next day for almost as long. He was sooooo kind, considerate and warm. He has to be one of the nicest people I've ever talked to! I just thought I'd let you all know how much better he made my summer --- THANK YOU!
